Online therapy in Arkansas
The comfort, convenience, and confidentiality of therapy in your own home.
Fit therapy into your busy life. Access counseling from your own home with all of the privacy and security without the commute and the wait.
Going to see a therapist can be a hassle, especially if you don’t have one you trust nearby.
You have to drive to the office, sit around in a waiting room, have your session, then commute to get on with your day. And while therapy is absolutely worth the time you put into it, you want something that fits your busy schedule.
This can be an even bigger headache if the therapist you want to see lives far away. They might be the only one that specializes in your unique problems like sexuality, questioning your gender, or working with men’s issues. Or perhaps you’ve called around and they’re the therapist you really want to work with because they just really get you - but you can’t realistically drive to their office!
This is added problem if you live in a small town in Arkansas where you may not have anyone nearby who you can trust with your problems and secrets because it’s a small community.
Online therapy can be a great alternative to help.

FAQ for Online Therapy
-
While online therapy is convenient, secure, and effective, there are a few things you need to get started.
First, you'll need a smartphone, tablet, or computer with a webcam (desktop or laptop) with a microphone.
You'll need access to a reliable Internet connection. This may be wired, wifi, or cellular. Please make sure it provides a good connection since poor reception can affect the flow of sessions.
A private place where you know you can talk freely without interruption.
Anything you might like to make your session more comfortable such as water, tea, snacks, blankets, and pets.
-
Besides having a stable Internet connection, the technology, and the space, it works well to come to any therapy session with ideas about what you want to talk about that day. Your therapist will generally have something they will focus on if you don't have something specific in mind, but this is your time and space to focus on whatever you feel will be most helpful to your counseling goals.
Please make sure that your space is secure and private. Noisy pets and kids or other family members interrupting your session can take away from the time you're paying for to focus on you. You may want to put a "Do Not Disturb" sign on your door when you are in a session. -
Of course not. I want to work with your circumstances as best we can, but sometimes life happens. We can still meet even if you have to deal with other things at the time, as long as you understand that it can make the session less effective. I want to work with your situation but also make sure you feel like you're getting the support you need in the time that you're paying for - and distracting circumstances can affect that.

The rate for a telehealth session is the same as a regular 50-minute in-person session for most therapists.
